Sam Lawton (Nicholas D’Agosto) is on his way home one evening when he has to cross a suspension bridge. At that moment, a traffic jam occurs on the bridge. Sam has a premonition that the bridge will collapse and everyone on it will die. And as he suspected, disaster strikes when the bridge collapses. A group of people miraculously escape death, but they still meet their demise at the hands of Death. With this kind of plot, the “Final Destination” series, from the first to the fifth installment, shares a common theme: if Death has set its sights on someone, that person should beware.
